Summer is a time when many apartment dwellers see their expenses go up. Many people find the summer months an ideal time to take off from work for vacations with friends or family. The warmer weather also encourages folks to spend more time engaging in entertainment or leisure activities after work or on the weekend. If you’re a parent, you may also have bills to pay for your children’s camp or other summer programs.

Here are two ideas for saving money so you can do more of what you want this summer without breaking the bank:

1. Get familiar with your air-conditioning units. If your rental includes one or more air-conditioning units, learn what every knob and button does. Chances are, you can make adjustments, such as switching to an energy-saver mode or activating a timer setting, that will enable you to stay as cool as you want for less money.

2. Keep unneeded heat out of your apartment. Don’t think that because you rent, you don’t have much control over your apartment’s temperature. Fortunately, there are zero-cost steps you can take to prevent unnecessary heat from entering your apartment. For example, knowing when to keep doors and windows open or closed can help keep you keep cool while saving you money with your electricity bills.

    When I get out of the sauna, I usually just jump in the creek with the water temperature at a constant 62 degrees F. I have no problems with my pores or getting sick.The whole idea behind the sauna was to get the pores open and cleaned out then slamming them shut with cold water. It is a purification process that is as old as time itself. Well, maybe not that old but it is older than me.
